Ta da! The reveal of what I purchased with my Ross gift card! I stopped by the new Maplewood Ross the weekend it opened and these beauties were the first thing I saw when I walked in and I had to snag them! Just $22, ladies! That’s what I’m talking about. And what better way to break them in then a girl’s night of sushi and cocktails? I’m in love…what perfect shoes. blouse: Lands End // nautical shorts: Old Navy (similar) // ankle strap bow pumps: Ross // watch: Michael Kors // crystal spiked bracelet: Groopdealz // chunky chain bracelet: Nordstrom // monogrammed clutch: Marley Lilly
I loved the whole nautical feel I had going on. Hey, only a few more weeks of summer, so I thought it was appropriate. Have a great day and here’s to great deals and fabulous shoes!
I’ve been stepping outside of my comfort zone this summer and venturing off to places I never thought I’d go for clothes. Sure, it may have something to do with the fact that this girl doesn’t have a summer job, but still, I’m so glad I’m expanding my horizons. Thrift stores and girl’s departments are my new best friends. As if I wasn’t already a shopaholic who loved prowling the clearance racks, now it’s even worse with the gems you can find thrifting and digging through the girl’s clothes.
I discovered the girl’s section after not having any luck with the clearance clothes in the women’s section at Target. I was walking by the girl’s department and realized just how cute their clothes are…and not all that childish, either. I picked up a L and an XL and I knew for sure they would fit. So, from then on out, after I’m done with the women’s, I always snoop the girl’s section, too. That’s where I found this adorable neon sundress for only $10! It’s an XL or 14/16 in girl’s and it fits perfectly and comfortably. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think it screams “Hey, you look like a 10-year-old girl!” …but that’s just me.
Happy hump day, all! You’re halfway through the week — congratulations! I started my new summer internship this week, so I thought I’d share with you all my outfit from over the weekend to make up for how busy I’ve been since Monday. Mike and I had a wonderful date night on Saturday at our favorite sushi spot here in St. Louis, and then we ended the evening with the movie I’ve been anticipating for months: The Great Gatsby! If you haven’t seen it yet, you must! It was so good, and not to mention how beautiful Leo was…swooning. Ok, ok, enough drooling. On to the date night outfit! Continue reading
I’ll be honest, I’ve never been one to shop at JCPenney, but since they’ve changed over to their new “square deal” idea, I’ve grown a new love for the department store. I give them props for some of the amazing new clothing lines they sell, and of course, their great prices. The oxford and the pencil skirt were both bought there and I’m obsessed. The skirt was on clearance for just $10! If you haven’t given JCP a thought lately, you might want to think again.
