Hallelujah baseball is back! Days at the ballpark mean peanuts, hotdogs, beer, and usually some picture-taking, right? With photos in mind I try veer away from just shorts and a t-shirt (unless it’s mid-July and 104 with humidity…). Here is my ultimate game day look and essentials for a day at Busch Stadium, aka baseball heaven for all you non-Cardinals fans ;)

Hello, lovely readers! I’m back from my wonderful trip to Chicago with Mike! It was one of the most seamless and enjoyable vacations I’ve been on in awhile. Neither one of us forgot anything heading to or leaving Chi Town and the drive there wasn’t half bad either. I’ll break down the trip into two posts, today’s obviously being ‘part I’ of our adventures. These first two days consisted of shopping on Michigan Avenue, eating to-die-for Chicago-style pizza, the Navy Pier, and even a Cubs game. Before we even got into the city, or even checked into our hotel for that matter, Mike and I stopped at an Urban to do some shopping. Let me tell you, it’s nice having a boyfriend who gets a 40% off employee discount ;) Once we made it to the hotel and freshened up, we headed downtown for shopping, dinner, and a beautiful but chilly stroll down the pier. The next day was all about baseball! Well, not the kind of baseball Mike and I are used to, but Cubs baseball… I can honestly say I had a great time, enjoyed the stadium and Mike and me repping our Cards, and everyone that worked at Wrigley was beyond nice. It was all-in-all a great experience.

It’s no surprise that I’m playing catchup, so I thought, why not double up on blog posts? So, each day I’ll try to share a fashion post along with a personal post until I’m all caught up!
When I think of spring I think of warmer weather, BBQ’s, and baseball. We kicked off the first stint of really nice spring-like weather with a nice BBQ at my brother’s house. We were able to spend some time in the sun grilling and watch hours of great baseball. There’s truly nothing better than a Sunday afternoon with family.

Opening day of baseball is a huge deal, but even more huge in St. Louis. So huge, in fact, that it’s nearly impossible to buy tickets! Mike and I weren’t going to let that stop up, so we headed downtown where all the energy and commotion was and enjoyed the game from the comfort of the City Garden. We ended the afternoon with some frozen yogurt and all-in-all the day was a winner — well, not the actual game…just our day as a whole, really.
It was only a few days later that Mike and I were able to go to our first Cardinals game of the season. We stayed at the Casino Queen where I woke up to a lovely view of the Arch. The shuttle drove us straight to Busch where we had all-inclusive tickets where we ate and drank all we wanted…well, mostly drank. It was a perfect game and I can’t wait for many more this summer!
Thanks for keeping up with my crazy posts! I’ll try to never get sick again ;)
- Grabbed some dinner and beers at our favorite spot, Schlafly Bottleworks on the first real spring day we’ve had all year.
- Another monogrammed beauty came in the mail! I’m loving this pink and green hat that will sure to be a pool-going staple this summer.
- So in the spring mood and my wardrobe is finally reflecting it! Light-washed skinnies with a neon pink J. Crew t-shirt and seersucker blazer. I paired it with my Michael Kors flats and BCBG arm candy.
- Yet another beautiful spring day to enjoy lunch on the patio.
- Another pink J. Crew top with ruffles paired with Old Navy khaki shorts and an H&M leopard print belt. I finished it off with my newest obsession from Target — my sparkle sandals!
- We ended the week at my brother’s place for delicious BBQ, beer, and baseball! Mike’s shirt is from Urban Outfitters and my top was purchased at TJ Maxx. The pastel green shorts you can barely see are from Forever 21.
Hope you’re all enjoying your spring! Talk to you soon :)
In honor of my team the St. Louis Cardinals doing it big yesterday against the Braves, I painted my nails none other then red. This shade is OPI’s LOVE IS A RACKET. It’s a very true red with tons of shimmer. One coat would cover fine, but I did two with a clear top coat for some extra shine. Expect a lot of red NOTD posts coming up because the Cards are taking it all the way ;)
