Okay, as I promised, daily posts on my wonderful STLFW experience! Today is all about the blogger brunch at the Cheshire Inn and our fabulous visit to Saks Fifth Avenue…this is exciting stuff, people. Let’s jump right in!
The Cheshire and Cheshire Market were absolutely adorable and the location of our blogger brunch. We learned all about the wonders of the new Bonfyre app while sipping on mimosas and eating fresh fruit and muffins. Not to mention the constant Instagramming all the girls were doing. I mean, what do you expect from a room full of fashion bloggers? At least there was no judgement when there wasn’t 100% eye contact all the time — hey, we had a lot to tweet and post about! Being a fashion blogger is tough work ;) Oh, and how beautiful are my new Luichiny wedges?! I’m so thankful for the amazing swag I received during this whirlwind of a weekend.
From mimosas in a hotel suite to champagne in a limo, we were definitely getting the VIP treatment from Alive Magazine and Canopi. We did even more blog chatting on the ride to Saks because there really can never be enough
Once we arrived at Saks Fifth Avenue St. Louis we were greeted by Tania who escorted us to our lovely and delicious lunch of gourmet pizza and get this, more champagne…yum. To help burn off those calories, we took a much needed tour of the store and saw all of the amazing new renovations of the St. Louis location and drooled over, well, everything. Unfortunately the Saks visit had to come to an end and I couldn’t leave with those gorgeous Valentino flats that I was DYING over. It was time to get ready for the big night, and you can read all about that tomorrow, ladies and gents :)
My fashion week festivities began Friday night at the CLR-MNSTR and Blue Bird Apparel VIP blogger party. My outfit was picked out and I had Arijana by my side as we went down to Washington Avenue to check it out. I don’t venture down to Wash Ave as often as I should, clearly, considering how adorable these shops were and I had no idea. Ari and I drooled over all of the accessories and cute tops. I didn’t go too crazy that night because I knew I had to wake up super early for the real big day of events that Saturday. If you’re ever in the St. Louis area, check out these boutiques — you wont be disappointed, I promise!

my partner in crime…can’t you see why we’re besties?
LOVED this Coke bottle idea for bracelets at CLR-MNSTR.
nothing prettier than Wash Ave at night.
Apparently it’s spring? Well, not here in St. Louis. Since it snowed about 12 inches and school was cancelled and I was procrastinating doing anything productive, Mike and I went to Art Hill to sled! After going down that hill about five times and then climbing all the way back up, we were exhausted. So, we spent the rest of the late afternoon exploring the snow covered zoo. I love snow days, don’t get me wrong, but I am more than ready for trips to Forest Park in sundresses and shorts!

how. cute. are. they?!
forest park is beyond beautiful
Happy Monday, fashion lovers! I’m snowed in, so that means no school, lots of blogging fun, and plenty of procrastinating on homework. Mike and I figured the last snowfall in February was going to be our last chance to sled, but it turns out Mother Nature had other plans. With that being said, we’ll be heading to Art Hill later this afternoon. Again, yay for procrastinating! As you all know, this past weekend was STLFW. All week long I’ll be doing posts on different things I did throughout the weekend, so stay tuned! As for today, just a taste of everything I did in a quick little “Recapping the Week” post — enjoy!
- I woke up bright and early to get ready for a very long day of STLFW festivities. Coffee in my adorable wiener dog mug was a must while doing my makeup.
- I rocked royal blue pants and leopard pumps for the blogger brunch at the Cheshire Inn. Oh, and yes, that is yet another cup of coffee I downed in about 15 minutes. Blogger duties are tiring — fabulous, but tiring.
- I received a complimentary pair of shoes of my choice from the amazing Luichiny. I opted for the sky high brown leather wedges that will look amazing with just about everything I wear this spring and summer (if this snow would ever stop).
- The Cheshire Inn had a quaint market attached to the hotel where they had everything from bakery goodies and coffee, to wine and local craft beers. Gee, like only my favorite things ever: carbs, caffeine, and alcohol. Must. Go. Back.
- After brunch we took a luxurious ride to Saks Fifth Avenue for a private lunch and tour of the stunning store. More on that trip and so much more tomorrow and later this week ;)
- I snapped this shot of my arm candy and polka dots waiting for the GLOW fashion show to begin — I was so excited!
- Annnd the show began!
- Lastly, Mike showed up for the after party looking dapper as ever. I’m so happy he was able to come and support me. He’s the best.
That’s all for today. Check in tomorrow and the rest of the week for more STLFW posts! And another HUGE thank you to Alive Magazine for making this weekend such an amazing experience. I had the best time, met some lovely ladies, and learned so so so much.
It all begins tonight, ladies and gents! Tonight is the official kickoff to St. Louis Fashion Week with the CLR-MNSTR X BLUEBIRD STLFW VIP Blogger Party! I’ve decided to give you all a little sneak peak into some of my fashion week looks. I’m still not 100% on what events I’m wearing what outfits to, or even the styling, but it will come to me last second, it always does. I’ll be snapping pictures, Instgramming, and Tweeting like a madwoman this weekend, so be sure to follow all the action by following me on all social media outlets in the righthand corner, lovelies!
I was going to keep this a secret, mainly because I might change my mind at the last minute, but I’m going to show you all what I’m wearing to the GLOW fashion show Saturday evening. Ready? Here you go:
I’m keeping it pretty simple with this season’s biggest trends of black and white and polka dots! Then to add a pop of color, I threw in a neon pink belt and a bright lip. What do you all think? Ah! I should go get ready…even if it is 9 hours away. I’m such a girl. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Muah!
