Happy One-Year!

the kelsey wolfe blog happy one year

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I haphazardly started this blog so creatively named for my online journalism class. So much has changed in a year and I hope to continue to get better with each day that passes. Writing is my passion and to have an outlet to do so and share my love for fashion and style is truly a gift. To all of you who read on a regular basis, thank you so much. For those of you just now stumbling upon this blog, I thank you, too. Happy one-year to The Kelsey Wolfe Blog! Here’s to many more years and many more doors opened. Love you all!

Soaking Up the Sun in January

It shouldn’t be a normal occurrence to have nearly 70-degree weather in January, but here in St. Louis it’s almost the norm. Unfortunately I start school Monday and I would have really appreciated this beautiful weather at the beginning of my winter break as opposed to now, but I assure you I’ll probably be walking to class in the snow on Monday. Typical. I couldn’t let the warm weather go to waste, so Mike and I took advantage of a day off and went to Forest Park. For those of you not from St. Louis, if you ever come here, you MUST go to Forest Park. Favorite place in this city, hands down. A picnic and a zoo visit was a must! Silly me decided to break out the flip flops (they were the only shoes that went with my outfit) and after months of not wearing them and continuous walking all day, I ended up with blisters. Oh, well. Beauty is pain, right?

Even with blisters I had the most amazing day with the most amazing person. It’s not everyday you can forget about everything and just focus on being happy and having fun. Okay, get ready for adorableness overload right…now… ;)

Transitioning Holiday Looks

Xmas Look
So, I was doing some cleaning and organizing today in hopes that I wont go insane once school starts back up, and it came to my attention that there were a lot of wasted holiday outfits. All of a sudden, there were the red pants I was going to wear to this holiday party, and that necklace I was going to wear with that one dress for that other holiday party… Fail. Then it dawned on me that I can wear red pants whenever the heck I want…so, I put together a more “holiday-esque” outfit that can still be transitioned into the last few months of winter and might I add, Valentine’s Day? See, I knew those red pants would come in handy! Check out the look I put together and have some fun with it. Mix your colors and your patterns, and most importantly — have fun with it. Just because the holiday season is over, doesn’t mean you can’t still be festive and lively. With that being said, don’t forget the red lipstick ;)
Just to bring you all up to speed on what I’ve been doing since I began neglecting you, I’m posting another one of my infamous collages to sum up yet another week of no posting. School resumes Monday and once I’m back on my normal schedule, I’ll be back to blogging regularly. I miss you all and I’ll see you very soon!

Christmas Festivities!

the kwb xmasI can’t believe that Christmas is over! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday filled with family and friends. I just wanted to make a quick little post letting everyone know that I clearly took last week off for Christmas and I’m going to try my hardest to get back into the swing of things. I had a fantastic Christmas and  NYE — I’m loving 2013! It’s going to be a great year, I can already tell. I was able to spend the holidays with both sides of my family and all of my amazing friends. I received some awesome gifts and ate entirely too many cookies, but just like Thanksgiving, these calories don’t count ;) I might do a post on the things I got for Christmas later this week, we’ll see. In the mean time, I’ll leave you this collage of some pictures taken over the last week or so. Notice the new infinity scarf in the majority of the photos…thanks Ari, I wear it like, every single day. I hope everyone had a fun and SAFE New Years!
