FTF and a Pick-Me-Up

Thank goodness it’s Friday, am I right, am I right? I don’t know what it was about this week, but I’ve kind of been down in the dumps. I was hard pressed to find many Instagram photos I took this week, considering all I did was lay in bed and go running (yeah, one of those kind of weeks). So, I took the liberty of stealing some of my friend’s photos and even an embarrassing video of myself at the pool. Hey, if I can laugh at myself, feel free to as well. I try not to take myself too seriously. Along with the photos and video, I also threw in a little inspirational quote that I’ve kind of been living by for awhile. Enjoy your friday and have an amazing weekend!

Makeup Basics

I was doing my makeup before work this morning and thought, “It’s about time I do a blog post on makeup.” So, I quickly finished my face and proceeded to take photos of my makeup collection…and I wasn’t even late for work! This post is all about makeup basics and the essential items you’ll need if you’re looking to start wearing/collecting makeup. Be sure to click all of the photos to enlarge them for better detail and use the photo above for reference.

Favorite Things Friday

AKA: Instagram weekly. I mean, let’s be honest, that’s all this really is. I sit at work (bored out of my mind) and post things that I liked from the week. Sooo original, I know, I know. Oh well, here we go… my favorite things from this week.

Finding heaven in the nail polish aisle

Celebrating Sarah’s 21st birthday the sober “I’m still 20 and can’t do anything fun with you legally…yet” way.

Makeshift makeup vanities. When I move out, a real one is first on my list.

Three words: Dave Matthews Band.

How the chapters of my book are basically my life in a nutshell.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Favorite Things Friday

This week’s favorites are all over the place. From books to nail polish, and everything in between.

Summer reading

Bike rides

…more summer reading…

Lady dates with the bestie

This nail color. OMG. Pacific Blue #420 :)

Have a great weekend!

As Arijana stated multiple times yesterday, I should be on a billboard for America…because there are so many of those. Anywho, I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! I definitely took the excuse (not that I need one)  to wear red, white, and blue and ran with it. I received comments everywhere I went, and I didn’t mind it in the least.

Rundown of my rather patriotic ensemble:

Top: Banana Republic

Shorts & belt: Forever 21

Bracelet: BCBG

Nail polish: Pacific Blue #420 Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear

Top & Shorts: Banana Republic

Watch: Michael Kors

Bracelet: BCBG

Nail polish: Essie

Lipstick: Really Red by Maybelline

St. Louie has been suffering from some major dry and HOT weather lately, so fireworks were pretty scarce last night. Ari and I managed to see some from Art Hill in Forest Park and even got to see the wonderful show from the arch as we drove around. Again, I hope you all had a great time yesterday! Thanks for stopping by, loves.
